Tarpon Fever...

Written by

Hello everyone, the last three days have really heated up with tarpon action. My clients and I have put a couple in the air and had some great shots on the fly too. June is my favorite month and the season usually peaks in the coming weeks. A great day with Earl and Mishel and here's Mishel's tarpon from today's trip, giving us a dance... Capt. Dan

Tripletail Action...

Written by

What another fun day running down the triple tail with Joe and Joanne and we did awesome. We left from Pete's Pier just after 8am and ran the crab trap buoys once again. We covered quite a bit of ground and totaled eight triple tail for the day. In between triple tail action, we also jigged up some trout and chased a few tarpon around as well. A great day and I always enjoy my days with you both... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Tripletail..

Written by

A fun day with Rodger and Ron and we made the best of the windy day and caught some fine triple tail and trout. We had hopes of sending a tarpon in the air this morning, but the choppy conditions just weren't meant to be. So for plan B, we used DOA deadly combos on the flats for some nice trout and ran some buoys for a couple triple tail. Triple tail are always a welcomed catch, because they readily take a shrimp and are quite tasty on the table. We had had a fun day and I thank you both for the wonderful time... Capt. Dan

On the Rocks Day two...

Written by

Day two for us at the Homosassa Fishing Club with the Conklin party and my team today did great again. We ran to the shallow rocks and went jumping rock to rock, catching an assortment of species. The conditions were identical as yesterday and it was definitely bumpy out there for the morning hours. We used live shrimp on Hank Brown jig heads and it was just a fun day of fishing. I thank you all for two great days and I look forward to having you all on board again soon... Capt. Dan
