Hello everyone, I know it has been a while but I wanted to check in and say hello. It's been a rough road for me recovering from my last treatments, especially the radiation I had done. My strength is slowly getting better, and that's been my biggest issue. That radiation really hits on you and takes quite a while to recover. I'm making progress and hopefully will be getting on the water more in the near future. I have been out a couple times on charters and the grouper bite was excellent "couldn't have been better actually." My crew had to do the majority of the work though and they did a fine job. Here's the Sans team from a couple weeks ago with some nice Crystal River grouper. Hope to be out soon... Capt. Dan
Great action for today's morning trip with the Platz team. I fish this great family every year around this time and we've been going strong for about 10yrs now. Josh, Piper and Rick were my team today and they turned some nice ones. No break offs, pulled hooks, etc ... they were 100% on their game. We fished in the 10ft to 12ft range and all the gags came on live pinfish. I thank you all and terrific job.... Capt. Dan. On a side note, I'll be starting new treatments again on Tuesday, plus radiation so I'm not sure when I'll be back on the big pond as of yet. Soon as I feel up to it though, you all know I'll be out there. Thank you..
A nice day out of Crystal River with Chuck and Tim and these guys had a fine day. We pulled our bait traps and went to grouper digging. The gags were biting pretty darn good and we had a couple even get the best of us, by taking us in the rocks. Chuck and Tim soon enough turned four nice ones and just around noon, we called it a day. Great job and I thank you both... Capt. Dan
Another great morning trip with Larry and Todd on board and it was pretty much just like yesterdays trip. Some fast grouper action kept us busy and by 10am, the guys had their limit of good ones. We totaled probably 25 grouper for the morning and beat the heat being back at the dock before noon. Awesome morning and I thank you... Capt. Dan
