The weather was to perfect not got out today. Since I didn't have any scheduled charters until Friday, I asked my good friend Mitch, who is also a tackle manufacturer, to tag along and see what was biting on the Crystal River. Mitch is the owner of Grandpas Tackle company here in Crystal River and he supplies me with alot of my lead sinkers I use for my grouper charters. We put the trolling motor down and we immediately caught some really nice trout. A few of them were over the 20" mark and all were released to fight another day. Along with the trout, a nice school of redfish was nearby. We boated 3 slot sized reds out of the school. Both the trout and redfish were taken on DOA jerk baits in the glow color. Here is Mitch with the first redfish of the day... Good Fishin' Capt. Dan
