Crystal River Sheepies Feb. 8th 2010

The sheepshead bite is still going strong off the Crystal River and Homosassa rock piles. With the recent high winds, the water is extremely dirty so it is important to give each spot a little extra time. I had a great charter today out of the Best Western "located on the Crystal River" for some great sheepshead action. Joining me today was Darrell, John and Matt. We started the day with some trout and lady fish just minutes from the hotel. Using DOA jigs in the glow color made for steady action and it was a good warm up for the chilly 40 degree morning temperature. Next, was a several mile run offshore, and the sheepshead were waiting. We boated 13 keepers and a few shorts for a busy afternoon. Live shrimp on a jig head did the trick once again. Thanks you guys for a great Crystal River charter and look forward to seeing you again in June. Here is John and Matt with a couple "convicts" from the gulf... Good Fishin'.. Capt. Dan
