Crystal River Grouper & Trout...

We hit the full moon blues today on the grouper with Pat and Mike, but the trout were on fire. I picked up the brother team at their house on the Crystal River and we headed west. The fog wasn't to bad today and it actually cleared nicely. The hot inshore trout action started our day and it was terrific. In short order we had a fine limit of trout and we then ran to grouperville. The grouper action was tough and we caught a few shorts, but managed a nice keeper for the afternoon. Always a great time with you both and we had a fine catch - I look forward to next time... Capt. Another stressful day behind the wheel, with the dense sea fog offshore. Dan, Joe and Lauren were with me for the day and we cautiously eased our way off Crystal River and began the day on some fantastic trout action. We eventually reached our location and put the jigs in the water. Well folks, the trout bite was absolutely as good as it gets. In minutes, we had a beautiful limit of trout; plus released a few others. Next up, we spent the rest of the day covering the grouper grounds and found five fine gags to top off the day - plus a bonus triple tail. A foggy day for sure, but we had a great time and I thank you... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Trout & Gags..

Well folks, today the fog was thick as peanut butter and it was a wet, chilly ride. The team of Karl, Tom and Stephan were game and we eased our way through it. We safely made our way to our trout destination and jigged up a fine limit of trout with MirrOlure Lil'l Johns. Stephen had a plane to catch in the afternoon, so I just had a little time to find some grouper. I made a run to some rock piles and the team picked up a pair of fine keepers. Not the prettiest day, but we had a great time, some good laughs and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Grouper Sunday...

We broke in the new engine today and it was a fantastic day in grouper land with Mishel and Earl. The conditions were a little bumpy in the morning, but then calmed nicely. The grouper bite was really good around noon and we quickly brought in a limit of gags, plus released a few others. Rapala x-raps worked fantastic for us and Bunker was the flavor of the day. I always enjoy our days together and I thank you - until next time... Capt. Dan

Rough Gags...

We needed our seat-belts on today, as it was quite the rough one. Jason and Frank were game though, and we spent the day trolling up some gags. The water was pretty turned up from the conditions and the floating grass was an issue. However, we hung in there and picked up a couple nice grouper and released a couple shorts for the rough conditions. Always a great time with you both and I look forward to our next trip... Capt. Trout & Gags...

A trout and grouper day once again and yesterdays passing front, did have an effect on the fish. Mike, Steve and Chris were my guests today and for the trout, you had to present the jig "sloooow". They did bite and the guys had a fine catch to show for it. Now the grouper action was off a bit, but mainly due to the dirty water from yesterday's winds. We caught a few shorts, but eventually we found a pair of nice keepers to wrap up the day. I thank you all and I always look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Unbeleivable Day...

Even as much as I fish, there are still those days that wow you, and today was one of them. Jim, Larry and John were my guests from the Villages, and it was absolutely unbelievable. The day started out on the hot trout bite and after a little searching, we found them. The team jigged up some fine trout moving around little by little and it was truly fantastic. The team secured fifteen fine trout and we then ventured to grouper land. Well, all I can say is WOW... It was hands down the best grouper bite I may have ever seen and we had six hefty gags in no time. A day to remember for sure and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

A beautiful Sunday with Steve and Shari in town from the Carolina's and we had a great day. The morning trout bite was fantastic and it got our day going. Bourbon colored Lil' Johns kept the trout happy and the team brought in ten fine keepers. With absolutely glass calm conditions, we headed West and ran to 30ft of water. The grouper action great and four fine gags topped off our day. A picture perfect day and I thank you both for the wonderful time... Capt. Dan

Trout & Gags...

A little bit better weather today, but it still took the afternoon for the winds to calm to go offshore. Mark, Ryan and Chad were my guests and the boys did good. We spent the morning keeping our balance and tackling some trout. The trout bite was good jigging MirrOlure Lil' Johns and there were smiles across the board. Early afternoon, we made a run and trolled up a pair of gags to wrap up the day. I made it home in time for the guys to catch their football game that's on tonight and I thank you for the great time... Capt. Dan
