The Taylor team was on board with me for the day and with orders for a good catch for a family fish fry, I made the run to trout land. I loaded the rods with bourbon MirrOlure Lil Johns and made our way to some spotty bottom in 8ft of water. We kept it simple and made long drifts, picking up a couple keepers each drift. A little variety kept the rods bent as well with grouper, sea bass, lady fish and cobia. Thank you guys for the great day and enjoy all the fillets... Capt. Dan

It was one of those special days offshore and there was "NOT" a ripple on the gulf. I had the pleasure of having Ann, Ashley, and Kim on board and these ladies had a ball. I took them to some offshore locations and let them pull on some big gags. The grouper bite was good as it could be and we caught some real nice one's reaching 16lbs. I mixed it up a bit as well, and also found a couple cobia and triple tail for the day. Ann represents "Settin the Hook" clothing line and please check them out on facebook. Definitely the best snook action I've ever had on a charter today with Ed and Lee on board and it was fantastic. We began the day back in the creeks and right away; we lucked into a couple fine snook on DOA glow jerk baits. It was great to hook up right out of the gate, but the tide was dumping out fast; and I wanted to get on the trout for the last of the out going tide. I mad a bit of a run North, and the guys jigged up a fine limit of ten trout while adding a fine keeper cobia to the mix. The afternoon finished up with a couple more snook and it truly was a phenomenal day. Thank you both for the fun time and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

One more day with a fine mixed catch with Joe and Joann on board and on today's trip, we made our way offshore a bit. The cobia run is in full swing, so I ran to some of my favorite haunts and we did very well. We hooked four cobia, landed 2 and also over a dozen keeper sized gag grouper. Live pin fish was the bait of the day. For the afternoon hours, we added some trout and triple tail to the total and I thank you both for a great day. A good mix today with Casey from Sodium Fishing Gear on board and we had a ball. We started the day running down some triple tail and caught a few, but all were on the short side. I was eager to try a couple new trout locations I marked recently and we gave them a try. Well, it was a good call and the action was superb. Casey made six casts in a row and caught six keepers. He and I finished off out limit in no time and even picked up a fine cobia as well. A great day and I always look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

What an awesome time with the Manning party out of Crystal River and these gentleman had an awesome catch. I met the guys at the Plantation on Crystal River and we had a blast tackling the trout. We covered some ground from the shallow flats, to the offshore rocks and did very well. The team put an awesome catch of trout in the cooler and some real nice fish over 20" as well. Some mixed bag species came on board as well; including red fish, Spanish mackerel, jacks and blue fish. A great time and congratulations on a outstanding catch... Capt. Dan

A fun father and Son team on board and the McDaniel family did outstanding. Trout fishing was our main target for the morning hours and we did well covering a couple different areas. DOA jerk baits in the shallow water and jigging around some near shore rocks, worked very well. We put a a nice angler limit on ice and we then went in search of snook. We covered a bunch of ground in the creeks, and we eventually found a couple snook. I love the challenge of hunting for snook and great job today... Capt. Dan

Another hot trout bite south of Homosassa on the rock bars with DOA jerk baits. Tom and Tommy were in town from Atlanta and they really did well. We made several drifts and got a fine limit of trout for the morning hours. We ran back up North to red fish and caught a couple, with one making it in the slot. We did try our luck for a last minute snook at the end of the day and had one on - but didn't stay connected. A great time and I look forward to seeing you guys in the future... Capt. Dan

As good as it gets for us today out of Homosassa with the Dauchess party and the team did great. I haven't fished the guys before out of Homosassa, but they sure did enjoy it and we even made our way down into "Chazz". It took a little bit to get the bite going; but as the tide rolled in - the DOA glow jerk baits fired up the trout and we had a beautiful catch of trout. With the trout catch secured, we ran a bit North and free lined some shrimp to add some nice red fish to the mix to end the day. I thank you all for the great time. It's been a while, but always a fun time with the Short family and we had a little variety. I made the trout run first thing this morning and we did very well on the incoming tide. Jigging MirrOlure Lil' Johns in the bourbon color was the flavor of the day for our limit of trout. Next up, we ran down several triple tail but all were just on the short side, but fun all the same. We added a pair of snook to the catch for the day, but we did work for them using DOA glow jerk baits. I thank you both for the great day and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan
