Homosassa trout day 2 April 17th 2010
The Homosassa flats deliver again. Today was day two of the Homosassa fishing club party and I had Dave, Kit and John on board for another great day. We fished until noon and came back to shore for another great shore lunch. The trout bite was steady throughout the morning, and we caught them on a combination of DOA cal shad jigs and Deadly combos in the glow shrimp color. Captains Rick Spratt, Gary Cox and Fred Lyles also did well on trout and had a few sea bass and flounder to add to the mix. It was a great couple of days and perfect weather. Thank you all for the great time and here is my crew with this mornings catch... Capt. Dan

Fantastic Trout Day April10th 2010
It was a little windy this morning, but it turned out to be a great Crystal River charter. I met Karen, Ted and Beth at Pete's Pier in search of some shallow water trout action. The trout were schooled up on the oyster bars today and the DOA deadly combos with the glow cal shad tail were once again the bait of choice. We had great action throughout the day and the 12 keepers we had ranged from 16" to 21". The occasional black sea bass and bluefish mixed up the day. Capt. Kyle Messier who fished the other half of the family with me today, did well on redfish and Spanish mackerel. It was a great family outing and I want to thank you all for the great trip. Here is Karen with her first keeper trout of the morning, which was caught on the second cast of the day... Capt Dan
