A special day out of Crystal River with some great veterans and they enlightened me with some very memorable experiences. I had the pleasure of having the Wheeler party on board and Ronnie, Kathy, Katheryn and Jerry were my guests. The gang was in town for a convention at the Plantation on Crystal River and they wanted to catch a few fish while they were in town. We made a day of catching a few trout and red fish, while showing them the country from Crystal River to Homosassa. Free lined shrimp on the outer keys produced a couple red fish, while the DOA glow jerk baits on the shallow yellow bottom areas found the trout.
