Crystal River Reds....

Written by

A stellar day on the points for red fishing today and Amanda, Alyse and Tom did very well. We left Pete's Pier Marina just after 8am and made our way to the keys. The tide was just turning and it was quite shallow on the first spot. I did see a large school of red fish rise up, but I couldn't get to them in the big boat "I needed the silver king".... We were patient and as soon as the tide was right, we started catching some fine red fish. We totaled close to twenty red fish today with a couple over slot fish, some fine keepers and a few smaller upcoming stars. Live shrimp was the bait of the day and other than dodging a couple rain storms - it was perfect. I thank you all for the great day and here's the crew with Tom's big red fish of the day... Capt.
