A nice relaxing holiday weekend off, but back to work today with the Athens family and we did some grouper digging. I picked up the family at their waterfront home on the Homosassa river and we made our way offshore. The action was good today as we picked up keeper gags on a couple different rock piles ranging from 12ft to 23ft. Cut threadfin herring was once again the top producing bait for us. The team also added some fine tasting grunts and mangrove snapper to the mix to top off their Homosassa charter. A great time with you all, as always and I thoroughly enjoy my days with you... Capt. Dan. On a side note, I leave for my annual fly fishing trip to Wyoming Wednesday and will return the end of July. I'll be posting updates from out West and hopefully some beautiful trout pictures.
