Trolling up Gags April 5th 2010 Featured

P4050054I had some very special guests from Germany on board today. Christian, Tonya, Robin, Jeff and Teeny joined me on a fantastic day out Crystal River. We left from Pete's Pier and ran to the flats to catch a few trout. The conditions were beautiful, slick seas and a few trout filled out the mid morning. With grouper season being open I always bring a couple plugs and at least 1 trolling rod along just in case the opportunity arises. With the sea conditions being so nice we ran offshore and in no time we caught over 20 grouper and kept 4 hefty gags. Yo-zuri mag minnows in the old classic red head and white body was the plug of choice. It was a perfect day and the fish were biting very well. Thanks to you all for the great charter and have a safe trip back to Germany. Here is Robin with his first grouper he caught all by himself . Good job buddy... Capt. Dan
