Trout, Grouper and a Big Mack May 21st 2010 Featured

P5210188I had a great couple on board today. Becky and Brian joined me for a full day Crystal River Charter. We started the day targeting trout, and put 7 nice keepers in the cooler along with a hefty mackerel. The 8ft grass patches were the hot zone and the usual mixed bag kept us busy. The seas were flat as could be and I suggested trying to tag a grouper. We ran over to the barge canal and immediately hooked up. There was no floating grass and trolling conditionswere perfect. Rapala x-rap 20's in the bunker was the grouper flavor of the day. Thanks for a great time and here is Brian with one of today's grouper... Capt. Dan
