Crystal River Foggy Morning Trout...

Written by
The fog was as thick as peanut butter (or pea soup as you wish), when we reached the gulf this morning. We took our time reaching our destination with John and Jack on board and even though is was wet and dreary, the trout cooperated fairly well. We fished the top of the incoming tide and the first of the outgoing for our 1/2 day Crystal River charter. I can tell you this, the feed was on for the last of the incoming tide. We used a combination of DOA deadly combos and MirrOlure Lil' Johns jigs for our success, but when the tide turned to go out- the trout turned "OFF". The guys did great with a fine catch of quality sized trout and I had a great time with you both. Here's John and Jack with their morning catch... Capt. Dan
