Emory's Day...

A great day with Emory on board and this was his yearly grouper trip. Emory's daughter always buys him a grouper trip for Christmas and he comes from Pennsylvania and it's his day of fun. Well, we did fantastic catching close to 30 grouper with a couple being some real nice ones and on the way in, we even picked up a keeper cobia that was on a channel marker. Live pinfish were our baits of the day and with the approaching cold front, it looks like I'll be off the water until Saturday. Great job Mr. Emory and enjoy all the fillets... Capt. Dan

Sunday Funday...

A great Sunday trip and a day I don't usually fish, but with cold fronts approaching and loosing yesterday to the windy condition's; I made some schedule changes and Bob and Nancy had a terrific day. It's a always a fun time with these two and we headed down south and did real great on the gags. Lots of action and a fish on every drop with mostly shorts keeping us busy. However, once we weeded through the little guys our keepers soon followed. I thank you both as always and a really fun time... Capt. Dan

Earl's Birthday...

Happy birthday to long time friend and client Earl and he and Mishel celebrated it in style. This was a fun day and a treat from me to have a fun day. We set up offshore in just under 30ft of water and had some terrific action. Lots of short gags kept us busy for the start of the day, then when the tide slowed; it was time for the big dogs. The sea's were flat and just a really nice day to be out there. I thank you both, happy birthday buddy and we'll do it again soon... Capt. Dan

Fast Trip Gags...

Some happy fisherman and some hungry gags were the deal for us today. Lee and Clell joined me out of Crystal River and we set out on a new area I recently found. We arrived in about 18ft of water, set up and it was on. In just two quick stops the team secured a beautiful limit of grouper and we headed to the hill. Live baits were the ticket and I thank you both... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Groupers...

An absolute beautiful day on the big pond and especially for November. Dave, Danny and Jim were the team and they did a fine job turning some Crystal River groupers. I hit some spots in the 15ft range and once the tide slowed a bit, it was game on. The guys took turns and did a terrific job bottom fishing the gags and secured a really nice catch - plus a bonus triple tail. I thank you all and we'll see you next time... Capt. Dan

Big Dog....

Yes folks we raised the bar today and Chris and Scotty were the team to break the 20lb club. I took the guys to a couple ledges I haven't fished it quite a while and Chris hooked in to the big dog of the year - "so far". A giant of 24lbs came on board and it was a beauty of a gag. The bite was outstanding and all the fished we brought in were double digits with 12lbs being the smallest. A unbelievable day and I thank you both so much... Capt. Dan

A terrific start to the week with Joe and Joanne on board and it was a great grouper day. I took the team out to about 20ft of water and we began trolling rapala x-rap 20's. The seas were calm and the bite was quite good and we hooked up on every pass with one being two fish on one plug. We secured a fine four fish limit and Joe added a bonus tripletail to the mix to finished out the trip. I thank you both and fine job team... Capt. Dan

South Wind Gags...

Pretty blowy out of the South there today folks and at one point Tim and I said to each other, 'Why are we out here"... Well, we both hung there as he was my solo guest and we hit my upmost close in spots. Well, the plan worked out very good and Tim got his pair of grouper goodies. We trolled rapala f18 mag plugs and the natural colors were producing. It looks like we'll loose the next couple days due to weather, but should be back on the big pond Monday. I thank you and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan
