Day Two Phil's...

Day two with the Phil's and they did outstanding. We ran down South today and the bite was great. I made two stops for a beautiful limit of gags and we then bent the rod with some tasty grunts to add to the mix. Our hint of fall was short lived as it got right up there pretty hot today, but hopefully in the coming weeks it will begin steadily cooling off. Great job guys and I thank you both... Capt. Dan

The Phil's...

It's the second week of October and it's time for Phil to be in town. This year he brought his son Phil jr. down and the guys had a great first day. Our area was so blessed with the recent hurricane passing and only minor flooding, was what we experienced. Thoughts and prayers to the families in the panhandle region. As the guys geared up for this trip and storm passing, grouper was on the menu. Well, for the first day they caught a bunch of gags. I truly believe we totaled 40 for the day with lots of under sized fish, but securing a limit of keepers as well. Live baits were the deal for us and the little hint of fall in the air sure felt great... Capt. Dan

Grouper Ball...

It was day two with Mishel on board and her husband Earl joined us for this Saturday's trip. We left a little bit later today to avoid the morning chop and let the winds calm down a bit. We had our bait wells filled a little before 10am and we headed West. Our first dropped produced some good grouper and Mishel caught a beauty of a king fish that gave her a good ride. I moved around little by little, but on the last stop as we hooked up, a ball of grouper followed up our hooked fish and there must have been close to 30 gags in that school " very impressive". Awesome job to you both and here's the big one of the day... Capt. Dan

Great Grouper Friday...

Great gags today on this Friday's trip with Mishel and good family friend Jason. The team was ready and they did awesome. I pulled my pin fish traps and we ran out to about 21ft of water since the conditions were so nice. Well, it was a good call and four beauty's came on board, and smiles were on our faces for the rest of the day. Great job to you both and I'll see you tomorrow... Capt. Dan

Grouper with the Boys...

A really nice day on the big pond, other than a little bit choppy during the morning hours. The seas eventually calmed and Shane, Bart and John knocked it out of the park. I'm continuing to stay with targeting grouper as long as the weather and condition's allow and it sure has been good. The guys today turned some some nice gags on live baits and the outgoing tide was good to us once again. I thank you all and always look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Monday Gags...

A great start to the week with Roy and Dan on board. I have the pleasure of having these gentlemen on board for the next couple days and for their first day, it was grouper time. The guys did a great job on the shallow water gags and were so impressed with the action, in such little water depth we were in. The sea's were pretty bumpy though, but we hung in there and got a little bounced around. Live pin fish were our baits and they got in the groove and turned some nice ones. A fun first day and I thank you... Capt. Dan

John's Grouper...

A really fun day with John on board and he was my solo guest. He and I ran to grouperville and with the East wind and outgoing tide, it made setting up very simple. Our first stop produced a pair of keeper gags and the day was made. John also added a nice limit of Mangrove snapper to take home and live shrimp on a Hank Brown was the deal for the mango's. I thank you sir and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

More Gags...

It was day two with Tim and Jeanne and the husband and wife couple hit it out of the park once again. We ran offshore a bit to close to 20ft and set up shop. Well, it was a quick stop as in just a matter of minutes; four beautiful grouper were on board. Once again live pin fish did the trick and great job to you both. I thank you for two great days and Happy Birthday Tim... Capt. Dan

Morning Grouper...

A super morning with Tim and Jeanne and the husband and wife team turned some great grouper. We caught the last of the outgoing tide and the first of the incoming for the hot bite. Live pin fish were the ticket, and we secured a good catch before the big moon tide started rolling in... Capt. Dan

Lady Angler Gags...

A really fun day with Ann and Lauren from Lady Angler and Settin' The Hook Gear; and we caught some nice grouper. I took the team to an area I haven't fished in several years actually. and we did well. Live pin fish called up the gags and they turned three beauty's before we had to call it a day. I thank you both so much and I always look forward to next time... Capt. Dan
