Unbeleivable Day...

Even as much as I fish, there are still those days that wow you, and today was one of them. Jim, Larry and John were my guests from the Villages, and it was absolutely unbelievable. The day started out on the hot trout bite and after a little searching, we found them. The team jigged up some fine trout moving around little by little and it was truly fantastic. The team secured fifteen fine trout and we then ventured to grouper land. Well, all I can say is WOW... It was hands down the best grouper bite I may have ever seen and we had six hefty gags in no time. A day to remember for sure and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

A beautiful Sunday with Steve and Shari in town from the Carolina's and we had a great day. The morning trout bite was fantastic and it got our day going. Bourbon colored Lil' Johns kept the trout happy and the team brought in ten fine keepers. With absolutely glass calm conditions, we headed West and ran to 30ft of water. The grouper action great and four fine gags topped off our day. A picture perfect day and I thank you both for the wonderful time... Capt. Dan

Trout & Gags...

A little bit better weather today, but it still took the afternoon for the winds to calm to go offshore. Mark, Ryan and Chad were my guests and the boys did good. We spent the morning keeping our balance and tackling some trout. The trout bite was good jigging MirrOlure Lil' Johns and there were smiles across the board. Early afternoon, we made a run and trolled up a pair of gags to wrap up the day. I made it home in time for the guys to catch their football game that's on tonight and I thank you for the great time... Capt. Dan

Mr. Emory's, Big Three...

A wonderful day with Mr. Emory from Pennsylvania on board and he did awesome. He and I began the day jigging for trout and it was really good. On two stops, we had several keeper trout and released the others. The wind wasn't as bad as yesterday and grouper was requested; so we headed West. Emory held on the rod tight in grouper land and he turned two fine gags for his limit. To wrap up the day, he caught his first red fish on a free lined live shrimp and I thank you so much for the great day... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Hat Trick...

The big three today with the Coleman family; trout, reds and grouper. The day began jigging up some trout with Mirrolure Lil' Johns along the rock bars and the action was great. The team brought 10 nice trout to the boat, plus a pompano and a whiting. Next on the agenda, we ran offshore with some bumpy seas and found a nice limit of gags. The grouper action was great and the guys turned some good ones. With the tides running right, we added a pair of red fish in the Salt river area to end the day. Good as it gets and I thank you both for the awesome day... Capt. Dan

Sunday Gags...

Grouper Sunday with Marilyn and David and the team did great. It was pretty rough this morning and I had my doubts that we were going to be able to grouper fish. I tried some real shallow locations and had no luck. It wasn't looking good, but finally the wind laid down around 1pm and we headed West. I made the run to 28ft of water and the bite was on. The team brought in a fine limit of gags and the day was made. I thank you both as always and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Grouper w/ Colton...

Once a year I get the pleasure of taking one of my best friends son Colton fishing and today was his day. Colton has never really been grouper fishing and we stayed shallow and did great. Colton is an accomplished bass fisherman, so we cast some plugs for the gags. We had a double digit day, with mostly shorts sized ones. However, we finished strong with a pair of keepers and he did great. Good job buddy and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Family Fun....

A little bit of family fun today with my wife Becky. I always take a couple days off around the holidays to make sure she gets a chance to fish. Well, today was our day and we brought in some fine grouper. We did some exploring and the day was absolutely beautiful. Blue mackerel was the flavor of the day and here's the big one of our trip... Crystal River Trout & Gags...

Good as it gets today with the Worthington team. The guys had an awesome November day and started it off tackling some gags. We covered some of my favorite locations and the bite was on. The new color Rapala CD 14 plugs were the ticket and it was impressive how well the fish were eating them. The team had six gags by noon and we jigged up some fine trout to end our afternoon. A wonderful time and I thank you all for the excellent day... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Mix...

Woooo Weee.... It was a cold one today with Ross and Mindy on board and there was even a little ice on the boat this morning. I was a bit worried with the front passing, but the bite was really good. The winter time trout locations started our day and we did very well. The team and I put fifteen beautiful Crystal River trout on ice and we then ran a bit offshore. The grouper bite was pretty good with a couple keepers, plus several shorts for our time offshore. The nice surprise and bonus were, the triple tail. The triple tail were free floating and it was tricky to catch them. However, we found a couple that would stay up and they are always a welcomed catch. It's been a long time since I've seen you guys and I thank you both for the fun time... Capt. Dan
