An afternoon 1/2 day charter out of Homosassa and myself and fellow Homosassa Guides Association Captains William Toney and Fred Lyles had the pleasure of fishing the Reed party. We were lucky having a break in the weather after a long period of rain showers and allowing us a great afternoon of trout fishing. I had Mick, Rick and Max on board and with DOA deadly combos in hand, the guys had a great catch of trout. The root beer color was once again the top producer rigged on a 1/8th oz chartreuse jig head. It was a great afternoon with a little after the rain coolness in the air and I thank you guys for the fun time... Capt. Dan

A fun 1/2 day charter today out of Crystal River and I had the Damron family on board for some trout and red fish action. Leaving from Pete's Pier Marina at 8am, we ran out the Salt River and picked up a couple trout to start our charter. The tide was rushing in extremely fast, so we decided to leave the trout and try our luck at a couple red fish points. The red fish were there and in just a couple stops we had some quality red fish in the cooler. With enough fish for the family dinner, we finished off our trip with a great lunch at Cracker's Bar and Grill and called it a day. Thank you all for the fun time and here's Caroline with her first Crystal River red fish... Capt. Dan
I hit the the deep grass patches today out of Crystal River with Clell, Davis and Lee on board and the trout have finally made their way offshore. A busy weekend day on the the water and to avoid the crowds, I made a long run to the 14ft depth range and started "dragging" a combination of DOA holographic root beer shrimp and watermelon colored MirrOlure Lil Johns. The numbers of trout were very impressive and it looks like the hot summer trout pattern is in full swing. The tides were not favorable for red fishing today, so we stuck with the trout and had a fine catch. Thank you as always for the great time and look forward to our future charters... Capt. Dan

Great trout action today on the DOA deadly combo rigs out of Crystal River and Mike and Tom had a really good catch. I met the guys at Pete's Pier Marina at 8am and we ran a ways south and set up our drifts in the 4ft to 6ft depth range. The bite was steady on the out going tide, but when the tide turned for the afternoon incoming, it was quite slow for us. Before we called it a day, we hit a couple points for red fish and only found one lonely keeper to end out trip. Thanks guys for the fun time and congratulations on the fine catch... Capt. Dan
