Finally, today was the day. My good friend Matt and I teamed up, and we were on a mission to get on the tarpon. On the days I haven't been posting reports with my charters, I've been chasing down the silver king. I've had a couple shots at some fish, but only two quick hook ups so far this season - until today. Locating pods of fish today, we were in the right place at the right time and hooking in to three tarpon. Two of the hook ups were immediately rejected and the other, we brought boat side. It was a great fight with the fish jumping five times, until the hook pulled right at boat side. We did get a couple action pictutres, but nothing to great. To end our trip, I suggested trying for a snook and we found a couple good ones to end the day. Thanks Matt for the great time and look forward to going again soon... Capt. Dan
A very pleasant change in the weather from yesterday's rain event and I had the pleasure of having Bill, Blake, John and Kyle on board for a fun day out of Homosassa. With almost flat calm conditions, we ran a little ways offshore until we reached the 6ft depth range and set up our drift. All the rods were rigged with DOA deadly combo rigs and MirrOLure Lil' Johns and the trout bite was very good. Nine keepers made their way in to the cooler on the first drift and numerous lady fish, sea bass and even a just under keeper sized gag grouper, made for some fantastic action. We kept on the trout until about noon, and then hit the points to find some red fish. Pulling up to a rocky point with plenty of mullet activity, we free lined some live shrimp and the crew caught 10 beautiful Homosassa reds. We called it a day around 2pm and I thank you for the wonderful time. Here's the guys with today's great catch... Capt. Dan
Another request for an offshore charter and I was anxious to take Gary, John and Brad out of Crystal River. Cobia again was our offshore species for the day and after a very productive stop at the "bait bar", we were all set to target some cobia. We arrived at our destination and shortly after anchoring up and chumming, we were greeted by several large brown bombers. It was fast and furious action, with a couple fish on at a time and on today's charter; we landed 7 out of 8 cobia for our end of the day total. As an added bonus, a couple hefty gag grouper and Spanish Mackerel graced us, and I thank you all for the wonderful time. Here's the crew with a couple of the keeper cobia and enjoy the tasty fillets... Capt. Dan

First of all, I want to wish all the Mom's a happy Mother's Day and thank Mike, Ryan and Darrell for a great day of trout fishing. I met the crew at Pete's Pier Marina this morning and we had a 1/2 day charter scheduled, for a fresh Mother's Day fish fry on order. The trout bite was very good today with the overcast conditions, and a combination of root beer and watermelon colored MirrOlure Lil' John's was the hot ticket. Everyone did a great job catching several keepers and numerous shorts to keep the rods bent and I thank you for the great time... Capt. Dan
