Here's the new addition to the charter fleet. I just purchased a beautiful 16 Silver King signature skiff to add another dimension to giving my clients an even better back country experience here in Citrus County. I been wanting to add another boat for quite some time and I just fell in love with this one. The Silver King series has a long and very respectable reputation here in Homosassa and it's unquestionably, one of the finest tarpon skiff ever built. I"m looking forward to spending many hours poling for tarpon, sight fishing red fish and fly fishing all my great clients to some memorable catches. We'll see you soon... Capt. Dan
A warm sunny spring day today out of Crystal River and with temperatures in the 80's, it felt great. I had the pleasure of having one of our finest local deputies on board for this charter and John caught some great fish. Light winds today and plenty of incoming water, we had a great morning targeting trout and a couple mackerel and blue fish joined us as well. We used a combination of MirrOlure Lil' Johns and D.O.A. deadly combos for the trout, but the larger fish came off the bottom jigs today. A perfect high tide to red fish, we hit the creeks and boated six beautiful back country red fish to end our afternoon. I thank you John for the great time and it was a pleasure having you on board today... Capt. Dan

The east wind continued for us today, but with the full moon tides on schedule, the tide rushed in despite the conditions. Bill and Jeff were on board for this windy day out of Pete's Pier Marina and the guys put up with the elements and D.O.A. deadly comboed some trout. Not being able to run offshore, we stayed close inshore, worked the oyster bars in Crystal bay and had a great catch of trout. The root beer holographic shrimp was the top color today and it was great to see good schools of trout in their spring locations. After several hours of rocking and rolling in the gulf, we ran to the creeks and found a red fish. I thank you both for a fun time and hope you enjoy all the fish at the fish fry... Capt. Dan

Just about as tough as it gets today out of Homosassa with 25mph east winds with extreme, and I mean extreme low tides. Myself and fellow Homosassa Guides Association Captains Rick Spratt and Jody Johnson were at the Homosassa Fishing Club and we made the best of what mother nature gave us. I had the young group on board and Emily, Ellie, Elizabeth and Francis did great. We kept it simple using live shrimp under a D.O.A. deadly combo cork and targeted the shallow depressions around the rock bars. The young ladies caught a total of 17 trout with a mackerel mixed in to fill out our morning. I thank you all for the fun time and look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Homosassa... Capt.
