Hello everyone, well our cobia trip turned into a redfish trip for Dennis and Nathan. I took a quick break in the tarpon action and mixed it up a bit. Unfortunately it was just to rough to go offshore to where I needed to and the gumbo slime was horrible covering our baits; which made dropping baits down offshore impossible. So, we changed gears and ran inshore and did well on the red fish. We free lined live pinfish in the mullet schools and caught a nice limit of reds and released some little guys too. There's always a plan B and it worked out for us today.... Capt. Dan
Hello everyone, I just wanted to check in and say I've mostly been fly fishing for tarpon the last couple weeks. Weather has been a huge factor lately with this relentless gusty East wind we've been having. Some days it's fishable, some not so much. There's not a bunch of fish around, but we have been jumping a few and having some shots on the fly. I beleive next week condtions will improve and we'll be able so see whats going on out there. I'll see you on the big pond soon.... Capt. Dan
Some red fish for Greg and Tom on today's trip and this father and son team did well. We started out trout jigging and caught several under slot fish, but no keepers for us today. The tide was coming good though and we did just fine on the inside. A couple nice snook, fought a whopper of a tiger shark for a bit and finished the day with a limit of lower slot red fish. A nice little variety for the guys and I thank you... Capt. Dan
Another windy one on the big pond and it was a steady 15mph South wind all day. Scotty and Greg were my team and they did really well. We jigged in the 8ft range with MirrOlure Lil' Johns and found a fine limit of trout. The tide wasn't really good for much on the inside, so we called it a day with a fine catch... Capt. Dan
