Good to Get Out!!!

So great to FINALLY be back on the water! I'm easing my way back to work in a couple weeks and I'll have 6 weeks of radiation to do, for my final step. The doctors gave me clearance to work, so soon as I get my radiation schedule, I'll be back at it on the big pond. For today, my wife Becky goes back to teaching Thursday and I just had to get her on the water before school starts. Well, we hit the outer keys as I poled the Silver King skifff and this picture sums it up. Becks got her biggest snook to date and we just beat the storms in. I'll be seeing you all soon... Capt. Healing Up!!!

Hello everyone and I just wanted to say Hi and give a quick update. I'm doing very good as my surgery was a success and I'm basically just resting and healing up. It's going to take close to 4 weeks for me to recover from this and although I'm pretty sore, I'm making progress. My radiation treatment will soon follow and then I'm hopeful to be easing my way back on the water. "What a journey I've been on, but some light is at the end of the tunnel now". Not to much has changed in the fishing world from my previous report, but this is the month to target those larger mangrove snapper. All the offshore structures will be holding nice mango's' and especially as they congregate around the full moon. Definitely give them a try as you're poking around offshore. All the best out there... Capt. Dan
