Sunday Gags...

A special Sunday trip with John and Dan on board and these two guys did awesome. Once again I kept with the grouper plan, as the sea's were flat calm and we headed out a bit. I loaded the well with pin fish and soon enough, we were hooked up with some nice gags. I actually fished a new rock I recently found and it's a GOOD ONE!!! The team secured their limit and great job to you both... Capt. Dan

South Grouper...

A trek to the South land today as the seas were great for fishing the 30ft range. Unfortunately though, the was water was so clear, the fish were either spooky or just not there; as we did no good in that area. I made a adjustment and ran inshore a bit and it was the right call. The Sands team sent down the pin fish and in short order we had a fine limit of grouper. Awesome job guys and that you for hanging in there... Capt. Dan

Tricky Gags...

The grouper were a bit tricky for us today with Bob, Dean and Jim on board. I hit several spots in the shallow grounds and we definitely had the bites. The team was getting frustrated on the way they were hitting and we unfortunately missed several big fish. We turned a couple beauty's though and everyone secured a grouper dinner for the day, plus released a couple beautiful just under slot sized fish. I thank you all and here's Big Fish Bob with one of today's gags... Capt. Dan

Good Weather Gags...

After cancelling yesterday's trip due to the weather; today was a much better day. Dan, Lauren and Gary were the team and with a light chop on the gulf, we headed to grouper land. Well, it was a good choice and we found some nice gags moving around little by little dropping down live pin fish. The action was steady on all the places we fished and the team did a great job turning all the fish. I thank you all and I'll see you next month... Capt. Dan

Labor Day Reds.

Pretty windy for us today on this Labor Day and Bill and Jerry were ready to give it a go. Red fishing was our plan, but the bite was slow today. We caught a couple rat reds right away and moved around a bunch. We finally went in the Ozello back country where Bill caught his first snook and Jerry got his big red; plus having a couple come unbuttoned. Free lined pin fish under a cork got us the bigger bites, while shrimp produced the little guys. Always a good time with you both and I hope the conditions are more favorable next time... Capt. Dan

Rough, Rough Gags...

We put our seat-belts on today with the Platz team in town for their yearly Labor day weekend trip and we did very well. It was blowing pretty hard out of the SE, but the team was game to give it a try. We set up a couple miles offshore and even though we took some waves over the bow, the grouper bite was pretty good. Live baits were once again our producer for the gags and the guys did a great job turning them, with no break offs. I thank you all and we'll see you soon... Capt. Dan
