Big Day...

Today was the day!!! Wow, was the bite ever good and it sure shows what can happen when the gulf warms up a bit. We reached the 60 degree mark today and it turned the sheepshead on that have been slow and the trout, which have been quiet. Larry, Lauren and Big Fish Bob did a terrific job and they kept the rods bent just about all day. It took me a little bit to find the trout but when we did, it was really good all in one small area. I thank you all and what a catch.... Capt. Dan

Offshore Goodness....

A really good offshore trip today with the Barlow family and we sure did great. I did fish yesterday with Tony and Amber and did good on grunts, a couple sheepshead and released a bunch of gags. Today though, was pretty on and we had some good action. It seems like the 30ft mark is where the fish are if you want to bend the rods, as the gulf is still in the mid to upper 50's. You have to have the weather, but when its favorable it really is good. The team today had a terrific mixed bag and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

Sunday Bassin'.....

A treat for me this Sunday morning and I was able to spend it with my neighbor Dennis, the bass fishing guru. He and I headed over to the east side of the county and did well. It was cold and really windy " not a good day to be in the gulf" but we had a fun time. He and I boated half a dozen bass up to 5lbs and a mud fish. I'm actually hoping to do some more of this in the coming months on my days off or cancelled weather days, as big bass time is quickly approaching. It looks like a couple good weather days for the start of the week and another front around Thursday. I'll see you all on the big pond tomorrow... Capt. Dan
