A blast today with my good friends and clients Scuba Steve and Jack Mackerel. These guys on board are always a hoot and we had a ball. The trout bite was fair for us today on the outgoing tide and did OK with 8 keepers using DOA deadly combo cork rigs. On the incoming though, the bite was absolutely not happening; so we finished up with a fine limit of reds. We did land a small snook to complete our slam and I thank you both as always for the fun time... Capt. Dan

The final day and day three with the West party and today I took the gang way south off Chazz. The trout bite was exceptionally good once the tide turned and in three drifts, the guys had fifteen beautiful trout. I love fishing down there, but as many of you know; the bottom is treacherous. With a fine limit of trout, we trekked back North and ended the day free lining live shrimp and catching some fine red fish. Three great days with you all and I look forward to next time... Capt. Day two with the West party in Homosassa and it sure was a good one. The inshore trout action started our day and my favorite; the DOA glow jerk baits got the job done. Nine nice trout came on board and we then jumped into red fish mode. Well, the red fish bite couldn't have been better and in four casts, four reds were on the line. A windy one today for us out of Homosassa, but we stuck to it and made it happen. I was with my great Homosassa Guide Association Captains, and we all fished the West party. Trout and red fish were on the menu and it was a pretty good day. The wind though - was terrible and about the last 2 hours of our day; was almost unbearable. The fish did bite and DOA jerk baits produced the trout, while live shrimp got the reds. A fun time and I'll see you again soon... Capt. Dan

A much better bite today and Dan, Lauren and Joe had a good one. The started out on the red fish and they were a little bit more cooperative for us as we caught a fine pair of keepers, before we left them and jerk baited some trout. I had the last little bit of the incoming tide to work with and the team caught some fine trout on the shallow yellow bottom, before we ran offshore. Once offshore I moved around a bit and hit the right spot. Dan dropped down a shrimp and brought up the cobia. The free lined pin fish did their job and it was a cobia frenzy. Four beautiful cobia came on ice and we called it a day. I thank you guys as always and I'll see you in a couple months... Capt. Dan

I don't mind the heat, rain, or cold - but a hard East wind is not my favorite. Ted, Brad and Curtis were with me for the day and we stayed inshore and got out of the wind best we could. I just made short drifts off the keys with DOA jerk baits and did pretty well. Some fine trout came on board and a pair of reds ended the day. We saw lots of snook, but unfortunately none would go for us today. I had a great time with you guys and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

A great day offshore with the Novinger family and we tackled some cobia. I haven't been offshore to the south in quite a while and it felt good to do so. We free lined live pin fish over some hard bottom areas and did well. The big excitement was when the largest jewfish I've encountered to date, tried to eat one of our keeper cobia - It was quite a sight! A couple trout and a nice red fish were also added to the day and once again, I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Dave and Danny on board today for some triple tail action and afternoon reds. The day was a good one as the team and I spent most of it running and gunning; sight fishing triple tail. We basically spot the fish and present a free lined live shrimp to them and they usually cooperate nicely. A couple fine triple tail came on board plus lost a few and then we finished the day with some nice reds to top off the day. I thank you both and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan

Tony, Rusty and Todd were my guys today and they had a good one. Today was a jigging offshore kind of day and we fished the 6ft to 9ft spotty bottom areas. I loaded the team with bourbon colored MirrOlure Lil' Johns and that was basically our bait of the day; until we went red fishing. While we were jigging, we just made long drifts and had a fine variety. With a sold catch offshore, we hit the points on the incoming tide and finished up with some beautiful red fish. A great day inshore with my old time friends Bob and Dave and the guys completed the inshore slam. The day started on the incoming tide and catching some red fish. We fished the outer keys and a live shrimp on a jig head produced the reds. We made a drift for some trout and caught a nice keeper, but I was game to try for snook and so were the guy's; so that's how we spent the afternoon. We used DOA glow jerk baits along the points and caught three fine snook with Bob's big dog coming in at 35". A great day and the wind eventually chased us in to finish up the day and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan
