Seafood Sampler....

We did the old seafood sampler today and caught the quite variety. Today was my last sheepshead trip of the year and we caught a few here and there for the morning hours, plus a triple tail. It sure was a good season and thank you everyone for the great memories. Next up, we ran back inshore, tackled a couple trout and Spanish mackerel while casting jigs. To end the day, a couple red fish but a bend in our rods and it was another beautiful day on the big pond. Thank you both and let's do it again sometime.... Capt. Dan

New Record...

What an incredible day with Joe and Joanne on board and it was amazing. The sheepshead bite was fantastic as we ran to a couple different area's and the bite was on. We kept plenty for dinner, plus released numerous others to be caught again. Next up, we made a long run towards Homosassa for triple tail and did very well. The team caught some good one's, plus Joe had a sea monster at 18lbs. He raised the bar for the boat and I thank you both for a wonderful day... Capt. Dan

Always a fun time with the Worthington family and the guys did fantastic. An offshore run started our day and the sheepshead cooperated nicely. On two stops, we put a nice batch of sheepshead on ice; and then we went triple tail looking. We found three fine triple tail and a free lined live shrimp did the trick. A couple trout were added to the mix and a mack, to finish up the day. A beautiful day and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

A beautiful day and a fun crew with Michelle and Michelle on board and we caught some fine triple tail. The trip began dropping down on some late season sheepshead and with the passing cold front, the action continues to be quite good. The ladies brought in a beautiful catch of sheepshead and released several gags grouper as well. Next though we went looking for triple tail and we found some beauty's. Live free lined shrimp worked very well and a couple were approaching 10lbs. A great day and I look forward to seeing you all again... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Mix.....

An absolute awesome day with Scott and Johnny and the father and son team did great. The inshore trout action started our trip and using DOA jerk baits around the bars got our day going. We caught several fine keepers, a bonus flounder and we then headed offshore. The offshore action was fabulous with grouper, grunts, and trigger fish, but the sheepshead were not to happy. However, Scott picked up a fine triple tail and turned some hefty gags on light tackle for an exciting afternoon. A great day guys and I can't wait until next time... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Awesome Day...

Today was the day folks and Phil hit it out of the park. The tides were right, the wind was right and the bite was on. We began in the shallows jerk baiting some trout and the DOA glow jerk baits worked outstanding for us. We landed a fine trout limit and next, surprisingly - we also used the jerk baits for a pair of upper slot red fish in hopes of finding a snook. No snook today, but a welcomed red fish catch for sure. To end the trip, another quick run for some sheepshead and Phil ended his vacation with a bang. I always enjoy our trips and thank you as always for everything... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Mix...

The Inverness team on board today with Shane, Bart and Travis and the guys had a great one. Today's trip stated out jigging up some trout and on two drifts, we caught some fine keepers. Bourbon colored Lil' Johns were the flavor of the day. As the afternoon rolled on, we bottom fished some fine sheepshead, plus picked up a lone triple tail to wrap up our day. It sure was a beautiful day and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Trips and Sheep...

Another beautiful January day off Crystal River with Judy, Greg and Chris on board and the Citrus fishing club team did fantastic. Sheepshead was the theme for us today and we delivered. The gulf water temperature is just right and the action is pretty good right now. You have to play the tides a bit, but when it gets right; the bite is on. We had a fine catch of sheepshead on a couple stops and we added a couple bonus triple tail to the mix for the day. I thank you all so much for the great day and I look forward to next time... Capt. Triple Tail Surprise...

How about that last cold front folks... It was a chilly one for sure and today, the weather was back on track and it was a great one. I had the Riley team on board and Joe, Rich and Deanna did absolutely fantastic. We did some sheepshead fishing and caught a few, but the big "surprise" was the triple tail action. I truly believe the big front moved them around and we were lucky enough to find the school. We eased along and presented live shrimp and they gobbled them up. It was a special sight to see and I thank you all so much for the fun day... Capt. Dan

Another stressful day behind the wheel, with the dense sea fog offshore. Dan, Joe and Lauren were with me for the day and we cautiously eased our way off Crystal River and began the day on some fantastic trout action. We eventually reached our location and put the jigs in the water. Well folks, the trout bite was absolutely as good as it gets. In minutes, we had a beautiful limit of trout; plus released a few others. Next up, we spent the rest of the day covering the grouper grounds and found five fine gags to top off the day - plus a bonus triple tail. A foggy day for sure, but we had a great time and I thank you... Capt. Dan
