Windy Trout & Reds...

Good to be back on the flats, but oh my was the wind ever howling today. I had the pleasure of having the Adel family on board and we did well, for today's 1/2 day trip. This Crystal River charter consisted of fishing the points for red fish with cut bait and live shrimp, plus cork rigging with DOA deadly combos for trout. Bourbon was the color of the day for the trout and it's good to see a good push of fish in the 3ft to 4ft of water range. The wind eventually just got to bad, so we called it a day. I thank you both and great job... Capt. Dan

Up North Maine...

What a Trip!!! Hello everyone, I'm back from an unbelievable trip from the North Woods of Maine. We fished the Northern rivers and the Landlocked Salmon and brook trout action was great. The weather was a bit warm to start the week, but by Wednesday; it got cold and the fishing got hot. We swung streamers for the majority of the trip and anything with white marabou, did the trick. The last night we caught a couple on small #18 caddis dry fly's and it was fun to catch a couple on the surface. The leaves were in full Autumn color and the week ended with low's in the 30's. I could go on, but to sum it up - it was magic, with over 70 salmon for the week. The guys and I will be doing it again next year and I'm already counting the days... Capt. Dan
