Now that was a late season cold front... I'm sure glad it's past and unfortunately I lost a couple days due to it. However, today was a beautiful day and I was able to spend it with my family visiting on spring break. We had a great day catching a few trout, sight seeing, relaxing and having several manatee encounters while enjoying the day. The future forecast looks great and I thank you everyone for the great time today... Capt. Dan

A great day with Ron and Susan on board and we caught a nice variety in the rain. Jerk baiting trout started our day and the ever reliable glow DOA jerk baits, did the trick. We left the inshore scene and went offshore a bit and jigged up several grouper, more trout, sea bass etc... With a bunch of action under our belt, we finished off the day with a couple red fish and I thank you all so much for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Day two in Homosassa with the Beeson group and a big wind swap, blew out the water. It sure was low most of the day and it was really challenging to get a constant bite going. We basically had to catch a couple here and there to make the day, but perseverance paid off and we made a tough day a great day. The tide eventually came in enough to red fish, and a pair of nice keepers ended the day. Thank you all for two great day and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan

Good to be on the Homosassa River and it's been a while since I've been south. For today's trip, I had the pleasure of having Phil and Steve on board and with some beautiful weather, we caught some beautiful fish. The day began on the incoming tide and catching some really quality trout. DOA jerk baits along rocky points and yellow bottom, was the ticket. The guys secured a fine limit and we then went to live shrimp from Blue Water Bait & Tackle; and had success with a couple fine reds. A great day and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

A fine catch offshore today with Bill, John and Wayne out of Crystal River. The guys and I headed West and we fished the 30ft range since the conditions were so favorable. We anchored up and it was sheepshead insanity. We caught some hefty sheep's and released numerous other ones as well. With an awesome catch offshore, I ran inshore a bit and found the early spring mackerel. Wow!!!! The mackerel bite was awesome and the action was fantastic using MirrOlure Lil' John's. We had to go to heavy 40lb leader to help with the cutoff's, but we brought in a fine catch. A wonderful day and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

An absolute awesome day with Scott and Johnny and the father and son team did great. The inshore trout action started our trip and using DOA jerk baits around the bars got our day going. We caught several fine keepers, a bonus flounder and we then headed offshore. The offshore action was fabulous with grouper, grunts, and trigger fish, but the sheepshead were not to happy. However, Scott picked up a fine triple tail and turned some hefty gags on light tackle for an exciting afternoon. A great day guys and I can't wait until next time... Capt. Dan

Today was the day folks and Phil hit it out of the park. The tides were right, the wind was right and the bite was on. We began in the shallows jerk baiting some trout and the DOA glow jerk baits worked outstanding for us. We landed a fine trout limit and next, surprisingly - we also used the jerk baits for a pair of upper slot red fish in hopes of finding a snook. No snook today, but a welcomed red fish catch for sure. To end the trip, another quick run for some sheepshead and Phil ended his vacation with a bang. Still pretty rough out there for us today for the majority of the day, but the conditions improved greatly late in the day. Phil was with me for day three and it was another hard earned trout limit for the windy conditions. We tucked behind some islands and found some trout using Lil' Johns once again. The good news was, the forecast was right; and about 2pm the winds calmed enough for a little ride offshore. A couple drops on a inside sheepshead spot produced for us and it made for a great day... It was howling again out of the East and man, it's rough. I had the Phil's on board again for day two and despite barley being able to stand up in the boat, we still had a good day. Today was a mirror image as yesterday trip and the trout were once again our target. I actually had to anchor on each spot to fish it and work the area thoroughly; but we hung in there and did well. I'm hoping for better conditions tomorrow and great job guys... Capt. Dan

Just about as tough as it gets again folks with the hard NE wind that's upon us and "NO" water at all. I try not to disappoint if there's a chance to make it happen, and Phil and Phil jr. are in town from Pennsylvania. I told the guys it's going to be a trout day and we sure delivered. Casting Lil John's along the bars were the ticket for us and the team did very well. A fine limit of trout came on board and the day was made. The condition's didn't allow for much else to do, but we had fun all the same. I'll see you tomorrow.. Capt. Dan
