Tough Weather...

The weather got us today and I had to go to plan B. Dan and Rick were my guys today and we were all set to go grouper digging. The radar showed some storms out to the West, but as the morning progressed they intensified greatly. I had the live well full of baits, but just couldn't make it offshore. For plan B we hit a couple outer points and caught a couple snook. No red fish what so ever though, as I hit several spots. " I think all the snook are eating our red fish" - just kidding of course... We'll try it again next time and I thank you both... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Rock Hopping...

Some shallow rock hopping today with Jerry and Jacob and these guys from out of town had a blast. We did a combination of grouper fishing and bending the rod on the rocks with live shrimp. The action was pretty steady for most of the day with grouper, snapper, flounder, grunts, lady fish and a decent cobia. The wind wasn't quite as bad today, but still a "bouncy" ride heading West. You all did great and hope to see you next time you're in town... Capt. Dan

West Wind Gags..

We just can't seem to get a break from this West wind we had lately. It's been making it very difficult to get offshore and even tougher setting up on your grouper locations; as the tide and wind have been going against each other. However, we took a beat of a beating today and the Gaz team hung in there and did well. We eased offshore far as I safely could and we set up on a couple little ledges. We dropped down some pin fish and turned five nice keeper gags to save the day. You all did great and I thank you... Capt. Dan

Stormy Gags...

We had the storms all around us today and luckily, we were able to get the day in. Lauren, Dan and Big fish Bob were my team today and we had to stay close for our gags. I basically just jumped from ledge to ledge catching fish here and there and a couple cobia too. Live pinfish and pigfish were our baits and the guys all contributed with some nice keepers and a couple got the best of us as well. I always enjoy you fellas on board and can't wait until next time... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Gags...

A great start to the week and a really good first charter back from vacation. Stu and Tess were the team today and this father and daughter team did terrific. I had a couple thunder storms to contend with, so I stayed close and dropped pin fish down on some ledges. Well, the bite was excellent as we actually limited out by 9:30am and Stu even tackled a huge jewfish that ate one of our grouper. They did a terrific job and we called it a day - but we did get soaked on the way home. I thank you both.... Capt. Dan
