Good Mix...

A great time today with Mike, Chris and Steve and we had a nice mixed bag. We made the run offshore to about 18ft of water and on one spot, we did extremely well. Red fish, trout, snapper, cobia and grunts sure kept us busy using live pin fish and shrimp. We did catch a couple small gags on the first stop, but I moved around a bit after that and Mike turned a hefty gag plus releasing several just under the 24" mark. A great morning and I'll see you all tomorrow. Here's Mike with his big gag grouper of the day... Capt. Dan

Solo Steve...

A great first day back at the office and I had Steve on board solo. Steve and I began our day in the back country catching a couple snook on DOA jerk baits on the outgoing tide. The water dropped out pretty quick, so we made our way West to some rock piles and did well. Steve caught his first cobia and we hit a school of really nice trout on the same rock; which was a really nice surprise - I hope they are there for us again tomorrow. Always a fun time with you buddy and I'll see you in the morning... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Mix...

A good mix with yesterdays team on board again and we had a great day. Our trip began leaving from the Plantation on Crystal River and we got a jump on the outgoing tide for the red fish. Well, we hit it good and one stop produced three fine slot red fish as they cooperated on live shrimp on a jig head. Next though, I ran offshore a bit to some ledges and had some steady action with the mango's, grunts, small gags and a beautiful hefty cobia. The gang was all smiles and I thank you for two great days of fishing... Capt. Dan

What a nice mix of species today our of Homosassa and Casey and Avery were my guests. I kept it simple today and we headed West to 10ft of water and made some long drifts. The rods were loaded with MirrOlure Lil' Johns and they kept us busy. I really enjoy this type of fishing as it's pretty steady action and every cast is a surprise. I thank you both for a great one and here's Avery with her first trout.... Capt. Dan

A great day with Cheryl and Megan and the mother and daughter team had a blast. We started the day running and gunning for triple tail and eventually, we found a weed line that had some fish. The team used a combination of live shrimp and glow DOA jerk baits for the triple tail. I looked for tarpon, but no fish to be seen; but a bruiser cobia came by the boat and Megan did a great job bringing it home. A fine day on the water and I thank you both.... Capt. Dan

Family Day...

Just a fun couple hours with the family today and put a little more time with the new engine on the Silver King. Becky, myself and our new puppy Yukon, spent a couple hours and running around and we found a fine cobia. I sight fished it with a DOA bait buster, took a few pictures and released her. Always a fun time and Yukon had his first boat ride... Capt. Dan

Trout, Cobia & Tripletail...

A little assortment for today's trip with John, Bud and John on board. We started the day offshore jigging for trout and we caught a couple on MirrOlure provoker jerk baits. Next up, we swapped gears in search of cobia. Well, I found them; but today all the cobia were on the short side. We did have one big fish break us off, and it sure was screaming some drag. John finished up the day with his first triple tail and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Trout & Cobia...

What a day with the Perkins family on board and they had a blast. The trout bite started out day and we did excellent . From inshore with popping cork to offshore jigging; we nailed them. The tam had a fine catch of fifteen keepers by noon and then we went cobia hunting. We dropped on one of my favorite ledges and picked up a nice pair of cobia to end the day. Free lined pin fish did the trick and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Good Day, Crystal River...

A good day on the big pond out of the Plantation on Crystal River with Ben, Dave and Paul. The guys and I headed to about 8ft today and we had a fantastic trout bite. We jigged up some beautiful trout using MirrOlure Lil Johns and also caught a nice mix of species. The abundance of small gag grouper is overwhelming and it's sure great to see the upcoming stock so strong. To end the day, I dropped on a big ledge and a fine cobia wrapped up our day. I thank you guys and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Tarpon Opener...

A wonderful day with Mishel on board and she had a special day. Our trip started out using DOA glow jerk baits along the points and catching a fine upper slot snook to start the day. We took some great pictures of it, and released her to fight another day. Next up, I ran offshore to the cobia area and as luck would have it, two schools of cobia came by the boat and we caugth a couple good ones. The big bonus was Mishel landing the first Tarpon of the season and it was the perfect fish to do so. It was about 50lbs, put on a great show and we got some fantastic pictures. A very memorable day and I thank you as always... Capt. Dan
