A fun Sunday with Ralph and Chuck and I generally don't fish Sunday's , but I had some making up to do with my recent vacation time. It was blowing hard today and it was a challenging day. I stayed in real shallow and fish ed the shallow rocks of Ozello. We did well getting a fish a spot or so and soon enough, we had four in the box. The guys did great and I thank you both... Capt. A bit of a bumpy one, but a great cacth of gags with the Lyons party. We poked around the 20ft range again and really didn't do to well. Several shorts bit the baits, but no decent sized fish at all. We eventually got in to some nice gags in the 10ft depth range and on two stops, the guys had six beauty on ice. Live pin fish were the ticket and I thank you all for the great day... Capt. Dan

A picture perfect weather day for Seth and Braden and these two guys hit it as good as it gets. I took the team way down south today in about 22ft of water and we had some hot and heavy grouper action. We limited out in close to 20 minutes and some really nice fish too. I made a stop in 5ft of water with some spotty bottom and a couple trout made their way on board as well. You both did awesome and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Always a super fun time with the Lent gang and Bill, Andy and Jim had a great one. We sent down live baits for the first couple hours of the day and the guys turned some nice grouper. Lots of action with shorts kept us busy and it was a blast keeping the rods bent. We put four nice gags on ice and tried our luck for the trout, but they were not to cooperative as we only had a couple. I thank you all as always and look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

A super day with Larry, Lauren and Dean and this team did a great job on the gags. We had pretty good conditions with a steady chop, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle. I took the guys to a couple ledges and rock piles and sent down the live baits. They all contributed to a great catch of grouper and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

I'm back on the big pond here in Crystal River and it was a good one with Dan, Lauren and Big Fish Bob. It was whipping out of the NE, so it wasn't a full time grouper day. We stayed off the keys most of the day with cork rigs catching some really nice trout. I did push out a bit, to a shallow ledge where we turned a couple gags and came back inshore to top off our trout limit. The guys did terrific and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

I took the boys today to the North country and we fished the dirty water. Lauren, Big Fish Bob and Larry did a fine job on the grouper and we bottom fished some good ones. I put them on a variety of bottom from rocks, wrecks and ledges. All the places produced well and I can't thank you all enough for the fun time... Capt. Dan

A very fun day with Tim and Jeanne and the team did a terrific job in grouper land. I took the couple to some new bottom I found last week and "holy cow" it sure is good. We caught several nice grouper and live pin fish was the deal. The big surprise of the day was the keeper sized red grouper we caught and this was the first one I've seen since 2010 after the big red tide we had offshore. I would have normally cancelled a day like today for the forecast, but with just having two people on board - Mishel and Earl were really game to give it a try. We headed out the river and were greeted to a very stiff NE wind, and just making it to my bait traps was bumpy. I dug in my little black book and we fished a couple little ledges I have and we did well. It was an all day event as the bite was slow and sitting on each spot for a long while paid off. We also landed another beautiful snook on a grouper spot and it's so great to see them spawning. You both were troopers and I thank you as always... Capt. Dan

You just had to be there today! What an experience with Bob and Nancy for their second trip this week and it was a day to remember. The day consisted of grouper, cobia, giant offshore spawning snook and another surprise tarpon. All these species were on a ledge and caught basically bottom fishing for grouper. The tarpon was so awesome and this one put on quite a show " almost landed in the boat on a series of jumps". We got it boat side for a quick picture and she swam away beautifully.
