Homosassa Reds...

Not the ideal weather for us today and to be honest, it was quite nasty. Rain, wind and white caps - were the conditions, but we had good water and we were able to spend a 1/2 day charter red fishing. The team and I hit a couple points and did well. We caught several red fish from over-slot, to in the slot and Deanna had big fish honors. Live shrimp was the bait for us today and I thank you all for putting up with the weather and having a great morning... Capt. Dan

Spring In Homosassa...

A beautiful spring day with the Sugarmill gang on board and Roland, Bill and Jim had a good one. The wind was a bit gusty out of the South, but we had a little bit of water to work with to find some red fish. I made a couple stops and we caught a fine limit, from upper slot to lower slot. Next up, I made a run off the keys to some hard bottom and began jerk baiting up the trout. The trout action was quite good and we brought in a fine limit of trout in a couple drifts. I thank you all for a great day and always look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Saturday Trout & Reds...

No April fools today, as Kayla and Adam had a fine day out of the Plantation on Crystal River. The trout bite was extremely good for us and we caught the majority of our fish offshore jigging in 9ft of water. Bourbon colored Lil Johns were the flavor the trout were chewing. We had a bit of incoming tide late in the day for a red fish stop and Kayla added a beautiful mid slot fish to the catch. A great day and I thank you both... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Inshore...

Frank, Scott and Chris were my team today out of Crystal River and the trout and red fish cooperated nicely. Our first couple drifts today were fantastic and the trout action with DOA glow jerk baits kicked off the day. I did make a run offshore and we jigged up the usual mixed bag of species. The tide began running in hard around 2pm, so we hit the points and finished up with some quality red fish. A great day and I thank you all so much... Capt. Dan

Seafood Sampler....

We did the old seafood sampler today and caught the quite variety. Today was my last sheepshead trip of the year and we caught a few here and there for the morning hours, plus a triple tail. It sure was a good season and thank you everyone for the great memories. Next up, we ran back inshore, tackled a couple trout and Spanish mackerel while casting jigs. To end the day, a couple red fish but a bend in our rods and it was another beautiful day on the big pond. Thank you both and let's do it again sometime.... Capt. Dan

Homosassa Perfection...

You couldn't of ordered a more beautiful day and was it ever fantastic. Today out of Macrae's on the Homosassa River, Dan, Gary and Lauren joined me for some inshore trout and reds. The trout action was real good as the tide rolled in, but we had to wait for the water to get going to turn them on. The team brought in a beautiful limit of hefty trout on DOA jerk baits and then we stopped on a hungry school of red fish, to wrap up the day. As good as it gets and I thank you guys for the great time... Capt. Dan

A great time with Jim, Ron and Lauren out of Crystal River today and we had a nice mix for the day. Our trip began jigging a bit offshore and we had the variety show going on. Trout, cobia, grouper, lady fish, etc... kept our rods bent. The trout bite wasn't to hot, but we caught a few. The tide started rolling in and it got right for red fishing. The reds were on and in a couple stops the guys brought in a beautiful limit of red fish. We did end the day on one more drift and added a couple more trout to the catch and I thank you all for the great day... Capt. Dan

Girls Team....

The wind swapped today and it sure turned the fish on. Kathy, Stefanie, and Riley were my team and they did awesome. I got on the late season sheepshead for the start of the day and they secured a fine catch. The sheepshead bite is about over, as it should as we end March. I did find a couple triple tail, but they sure didn't want to cooperate. We left the triple tail and made quite the run to red fish land and ended the day with a beautiful limit of red fish. You all were so great and I hope to do it again soon... Capt. Dan

Rainey Trout & Reds...

A great day with Ron and Susan on board and we caught a nice variety in the rain. Jerk baiting trout started our day and the ever reliable glow DOA jerk baits, did the trick. We left the inshore scene and went offshore a bit and jigged up several grouper, more trout, sea bass etc... With a bunch of action under our belt, we finished off the day with a couple red fish and I thank you all so much for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Homosassa Low Water...

Day two in Homosassa with the Beeson group and a big wind swap, blew out the water. It sure was low most of the day and it was really challenging to get a constant bite going. We basically had to catch a couple here and there to make the day, but perseverance paid off and we made a tough day a great day. The tide eventually came in enough to red fish, and a pair of nice keepers ended the day. Thank you all for two great day and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan
