Uncle Phil is in town and we made it happen on a really beautiful day. We spent the day both inshore and offshore catching a mix of snook in the morning and an afternoon of mangroves and other goodies. The oyster bars produced the snook with DOA glow jerk baits and we sent down some live shrimp for the rest of the mixed bag. The conditions couldn't have been better and it really was a fun day... Another great day offshore jigging up some trout with the Sumner team. The guys and I fished in about 8ft of water and watermelon red flake Lil' Johns were the ticket for us. Lots of action with short trout, but enough keepers were mixed in to keep us interested as well. A few bonus mack's bent the rod too and I thank you all for the great day... Capt. Dan

A great day two with the West party and the team did really well. It was extremely foggy this morning, so it took a bit of time to ease our way offshore. We finally made it out to some good spotty bottom in 8ft of water and we jigged up some really nice trout. In just over and hour the team secured a limit of trout, plus some other odds and ends while doing so. Watermelon red flake Lil' Johns were the color of the day and great job David, Scott and Mike... A great day with the West party in Homosassa and we had a fine mix. We spent the majority of the day after the morning rains, offshore jigging some nice trout. MirrOlure Lil' Johns did their job bringing in a mix of species and the action was very steady all day. The team secured a fine limit of trout and we were lucky to find a pair of keeper red fish to wrap up the day. I thank you all and great job everyone... Capt. Dan

So great to be back on the water and I just finished up two fun days in Homosassa fishing the Scott party. My self and fellow captains Mark Zorn, William Toney, Rick Spratt, Zach Hoffman and Clay Shidler did very well with solid cacthes of trout, mackerel, and a couple snook. I mainly trout fished and we found them both on the shallow hard bottom points and nearshore rock piles. DOA jerk baits and MirrOlure Lil' Johns were our baits of the day and I thank you all for a fun couple days... Capt. Dan

A great start to the new year with Jim, Larry and Dean and the guys had a good one. The grouper rods are put to bed until the season opens again, so for now it's mostly going to be a trout, sheepshead and a red fish world. I do enjoy this time of year as long as the cold fronts aren't to harsh. The sheepshead bite is still a bit early and usually in to February, it really gets going. Another nice mix with the Barlow team and Ron, Dean and Ron Jr. did outstanding. We spent the majority of the day drifting some spotty bottom in 8ft of water using MirrOlure Lil Johns jigs. Well, the action was superb and for over three hours we had something pulling on our lines. This included the first cobia of the year, but it was on the small side. We ran back inshore as the tide turned and finished off our trip with a beauty of an upper slot snook and I thank you all for the great time... Capt. Dan

Always a fun day with Dave and Danny on board and these gentlemen had a great day. We spent the majority of the day jigging up some trout, with the usual by catch on grouper, sea bass, mackerel, etc... I love this time of year as every cast can be a surprise. We secured a limit of trout an ended the day on the little bit of tide we had to find a red fish to bend the rod. A great day and I thank you both as always... Capt. Dan

A beautiful February Spring day with Mike, Bryan and Mike on board and these gentleman had an awesome day. On today's trip, I ran offshore a bit and we jigged our way to some real nice quality trout. Root beer colored Lil' Johns were the flavor of the day and we caught numerous grouper, sea bass and a mackerel as well. I made one more try for sheepshead, but we only caught two as I truly believe, unless we get a cold front - the season is over. A fun day with you all and great catch guys... Capt. Dan

It's been a while, but it sure was good to see Bill, Roland and Jim on board again. It was the guys annual December grouper trip and it was pretty similar to yesterdays trip on the grouper. Lots and lots of undersized gags again, but that's great to see too. We finally found some nice grouper dinners, plus Roland sight fished a beautiful triple tail that was under a piece of floating cardboard. Enjoy the goodies and I'll see you next month... Capt. Dan
