Excellent mangrove snapper action today on the ledges and "wow" the bite was on. I had Kevin and his family on board for the day and we spent the day offshore. Our first stop after leaving Pete's Pier marina was filling the live well with pin fish in preparation for some grouper fishing. To get the day started, we sent down some shrimp on knocker rigs and loaded up on the mangrove snapper and grunts. The snapper bite was as good as I've seen it and it was non stop action. With our limit of mango's, we spent the rest of the day trying for some shallow water gags. We sure had some good grouper on, but they got the best of us and unfortunately broke us off.
