Homosassa Reds Day 2 Sept. 10th 2010 Featured

P9100123Today was day two of the the three day Homosassa Fishing Club charter. Brent and Mike joined me for a full day of trout and red fishing. We had a later tide today, so we left the dock at 9am to give us an extra hour to fish the incoming tide. The trout bite was pretty slow today and I blame it on the conditions. No wind, extremely hot and a very slow out going tide ( difficult to get a drift and cover water). However, we did manage a few silver trout and a couple specks before the tide turned. Around 1pm we ran towards the creeks and the red fish were waiting. One our first point, three cast and three keepers. It was non stop action for about 15 minutes until we lost the school. For the next couple hours we boated 16 red fish and released several nice slot fish and a few under slot to fill out the after noon. A big thank you to guys for all the hard work today and here is Mike with a 25" red fish that was released to fight another day... Capt. Dan
