Today was boat service day and I religiously have it serviced at Gulf Coast Marine in Homosassa every 100hrs. After I dropped the boat off, I stopped by the Outcast tackle shop in Homosassa and my good friend and owner Capt. Cade Burgdorf said "hey man lets go fishing". I always enjoy a day on the water with Cade because he knows the waters around here better than anyone I know ( it's one heck of a ride). We loaded up his custom Carolina skiff and off we were, deep into the chassahowitzka back country. We hit several points sight-fishing for red fish and saw a few, but nothing really special. Once we headed a little farther south and we found the mother load of red fish. On one particular point we saw schools and schools of upper to over slot red fish and immediately hooked up again and again. No need for live bait today, a combination of Rapala twitch'n raps and Mirr-O-Lure Mirrodines did the trick. One the way in we had to try for a snook and Cade picked up one on the first cast to put the icing on the cake. Thanks as always buddy for the memorable day and it's grouper next time in my boat. Here is one of the larger reds from the morning...Capt. Dan
