High Winds, Trout and Reds Oct. 5th 2010 Featured

PA050156Good to be back at the office after having a fantastic Maine trip. I had Jim, Donnie and Jesse out of Crystal River today to target some trout and red fish. We met at Pete's Pier this morning at 8am and although the winds were a gusty 15mph plus, the trout bite was on. It was rough on the outside, so we fished the mouth of some mangrove bays and it was steady action all morning. DOA shrimp and Berkly gulps in the holographic root beer and camo colors were the hot colors today. Tide made high just after noon and even though we didn't have alot of water, there was enough to put 11 red fish in the boat.  Free lined live shrimp under a cork was the bait of choice for the day. The conditions were not the best, but the guys worked hard and had a great catch to show for it. Thanks again... Capt. Dan
