More Wind and Trout Oct. 6th 2010 Featured

PA060158I had the same gang again today and the same conditions. The steady NE wind made it a challenge to get a steady bite going, but we caught several trout and red fish through out the day. We made a quick run offshore Crystal River to try and troll up a grouper, but the water clarity was very dirty; so we ran back to the kelp beds and stayed inshore for the rest of the day. The trout bite for the day was on and off.  However, we did catch plenty of under slot trout, a couple keepers and a few small red fish to fill out the day. There was no special bait that out preformed the other and we threw everything from top water plugs, jerk baits and DOA deadly combos. Thanks guys for a fun couple days and hard efforts. I'll see you in a few months... Capt. Dan
