The Cotton State Insurance Corporation had there annual fishing tournament held out of Macrae's on the Homosassa river today. This is always a fun event and today was no different. I had Matt and Ron on board and we had a fantastic day. The trout bite was excellent in the morning and boated 13 keeper trout on the DOA deadly combos. To mix up the day we tried trolling for some grouper, but came up with only shorts. We did have a couple of nice surprises for the day, including a beautiful 17lb king fish and a hefty pompano to add to our total weight. At the scales we had 39lbs which was good enough for second place, while my good friend Capt. Rick Spratt took the top prize. Thanks for a great event and to Matt and Ron for an enjoyable day.
