The Homosassa Fishing Club just had their annual jamboree and it was a great couple of days. 10 guides from the Homosassa guides association including myself, Mark Zorn, Rick Spratt, Jim Long, William Toney, Gary Cox, Fred Lyles, Marvin Williams, Don Chancey and Mike Locklear fished 30 members for a combination of fishing and shore lunches. The trout fishing was great and I won the pot on Sunday with 19 keepers before lunch. A combination of DOA shrimp deadly combos in the holographic root beer and natural color gulps put the trout in the boat. On Monday my crew could only fish a couple hours before they had to catch a plane back to Georgia, but we managed 9 nice keeper trout before 11am. The jamboree is always a fun couple of days of friendly competition between the guides and we always look forward to this time of year. Thanks again to all the members and we'll see you on the water soon...Capt. Dan
