Crystal River Slam! Nov. 30th 2010 Featured

PB300300Today we had the big three; snook, trout and red fish. I met Murry, Bart and Shane at Pete's Pier this morning and made a quick stop in the river to see if the snook were still around. In a few cast we hooked up, and Shane brought a beautiful snook in the boat. In the same area, we had several other followers and a few miss the plug right next to the boat:one even jumped completely out of the water and he was in the 30" class. Next, we ran to the creeks and we found the red fish. 19 red fish made their way to the boat and they were definitely on the feed today. Free lined live shrimp was the ticket and it was one of the best red fishing days I have seen in a while. The guys wanted to add some trout to the mix, so we ran to the 6ft grass flats and caught a mixture of silver and speckled trout with a few mackerel. It was a fantastic day and a great change of pace for me from all the grouper fishing I have been doing; I had a great time myself. Thanks for a fun time and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan
