COLD Crystal River Snookin! Dec. 7th 2010 Featured

PC070308With the weather being cold and blustery, it's been tough to get on the water. Rescheduling charters is never fun, but for the best interest and safety of my clients I have had to do so. I asked my good friend Dr. Mckeeny of Mckeeny Chiropractic center this evening to join me and see if we could find a winter snook in the safety of the river. I just had to get on the water, so we bundled up and had some action. There is no shortage of lady fish in the river and as usual for this time of year, they can be a nuisance after the first 100 are hooked. We did have a few snook strikes and a couple followed our plugs up to the boat, but only one made its way for a quick photo. The air temperature was in the upper 30's and after three hours we called it a day.  Thanks Doc. for the company and we'll go again soon... Capt. Dan
