34 Degree Trout. Dec. 20th 2010 Featured

PC200323Another cold start on the Crystal River this morning. Ice on the boat and temperatures in the low 30's made for a chilly ride. I had Chris on board from Luetgert Development Corporation in Ocala, and he requested some trout for a Christmas family fish fry. I picked him upĀ from his waterfront home and with a quick run down the river, we were in the trout. The tide was extremely low and the particular hole we were fishing was loaded with trout. Using a combination of golden bream DOA jigs and glow jerk baits put them in the boat. Just after 9am we had our 10 keepers and 1 short red fish to fill out the morning. As always, thanks Chris for the good time and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan
