Sight Fishing Reds Jan. 28th 2011 Featured

P1280346With a West wind and a incoming tide, conditions were looking good to sight fish some red fish. I met my good friend and client Dave at Pete's Pier just after 10am and we ran to the back country creeks. The tide was only a 2ft high on the charts, which was just enough water to make it back into Ozello. I put the trolling motor down and we immediately saw a few schools of reds. The further we got back into the creeks, there just wasn't quite enough water to make it where I wanted to go. However, Dave hooked up on a nice red with a DOA golden bream jerkbait, but this was the only one to make it to the boat. Thanks for the fun afternoon and we'll do it again soon... Capt. Dan
