Clear Water Sheepshead. Feb. 21st 2011 Featured

Written by
P2210381The gulf waters continues to be crystal clear and the sheepshead are still on the rocks. I had Steve and Helen on board today out of Pete's Pier and we ran offshore and caught a little variety. Sheepshead, sea bass, grunts, porgies and Spanish mackerel kept us busy and a picture perfect day made a great day on the water. Today the water reached 64 degrees and a abundace of pin fish on the rocks was a good sight to see. On the way in salt river, we stopped on a  point and Helen caught a nice slot red fish that she released to fight another day. Thanks to you both for a fun time and enjoy your fresh fish being prepared at Peck's Old Port Cove in Ozello. Also, a big thank you for all who attended our Homosassa Guides Association annual fish fry yesterday at Macrae's. It was a huge success... Capt. Dan
