Today was one of those tough days on the water. Wind gusts to 25mph made it impossible to target mackerel and sheepshead offshore, so we stayed in the back country creeks and targeted trout and red fish. I had Bill and Donnie on board out of Crystal River and we did well, considering the less than favorable conditions. The trout bite was very good back in the creeks and caught several nice slot trout and a few under slot red fish to keep us busy. Free lined live shrimp under a DOA deadly combo cork was the choice of bait for the day. Trout season opens next week and it looks like it's going to be great. Thanks guys for all the hard work today and look forward to going out again in better conditions... Capt. Dan
