Trout season started off today fantastic! I had Mike and Jim on board and I picked the guys up from their rental, on the Homosassa river. We fished the flats off Homosassa and the trout were on the feed. At one point in the day, we had a fish on our lines almost every cast for over 30 minutes. Numerous trout in the 14 1/2" to just over 15" size was the average, with a few in the upper slot. DOA glow shrimp on a 1/8oz jig head was the bait of choice.
