We had a little variety today out of Crystal River, even though it was a little bit of a tough one. I met Don and Connor at Pete's Pier this morning and we left the dock in search of some trout. Well the trout bite was not on by any means and we only had a few for the first part of the morning. We changed gears around noon and chummed up a few mackerel and bluefish to mix up the day. Free lined live shrimp did the trick for the macks and when the mack bite slowed, we ran into the creeks and found a couple red fish. We anchored up and instantly Don brought a beautiful red fish right to the boat. We hooked a few others and called it a day. Thanks guys for the fun time and look forward to seeing you again in the fall. Here's Connor with his first Mackerel, great job... Capt. Dan
