Homosassa Catching and Releasing. April 18th 2011 Featured

P4180465A special day out of the Tradewinds on the Homosassa, with my good clients Mishel and Earl. Today we practiced "CPR" Catch, Photograph and Release. We started the day offshore making two long drifts and boated numerous trout, along with the usual mixed species. 12 of the trout were beautiful keepers and the largest was a little over the 20" mark. Today's hot color was the DOA near clear shrimp. The full moon tide was rushing in, so we spent the rest of the afternoon chasing down some red fish. Red fishing is still a little tough, but we manged six to finish out the day. Thank you both for a fun day and here is Earl with a multi spotted red fish that couldn't resist a free lined live shrimp...
