Homosassa 1/2 Day Reds. May. 11th 2011 Featured

P5110513A fun 1/2 day charter out of Homosassa with Walt, Matt and Brian to do a little red fishing. We left Macrae's at 7am to catch the tide and find a red fish or two. It took some time for the tide to get rolling in, but once it did, the reds turned on. Using free lined live shrimp around the outside keys produced a few beautiful slot red fish. I always prefer to use circle hooks when red fishing to prevent snags on the rocks and they usually hook the fish in the corner of the mouth.
