Just back from our annual Key's vacation and this was a good one. My wife Becky and I joined my good friend Capt. Chris Wilkins and his wife Alexis for a great couple days of blue water fishing. We trolled offshore Key West in several hundred feet of cobalt blue water for sailfish and dolphin - a dream come true. Family friend to the Wilkins, Capt. Jeff Distefano of Key West also joined us for a couple days and put me on my first sailfish and dolphin. The fishing was outstanding despite the windy condition's and between the two boats we boated 8 sailfish and over 30 dolphin for a memorable trip. Chris guides with me up here in Homosassa, but he was raised in Key West. It's was a treat to have someone show us the history and off the beaten path places Key West has to offer.
